The recent results of Muon $g-2$ experiment conducted at Fermilab, USA has created a sensation in the field of particle physics. The gyromagnetic ratio `$g$' of muon found from Muon $g-2$ experiments differ from the Standard Model expectation value of 2. This paper explores the significance of muon and compares the results obtained from various Muon $g-2$ experiments conducted at different laboratories across the World. The prospects of muon and the underline hints of muon anomaly to explore the physics beyond the Standard Model has also been highlighted.
