Magneto-caloric Effect and Magnetic Field Induced Strain of Heusler Alloys

Heusler Alloys are alloy compounds with the molecular formula X2YZ, where X and Y are transition-series
elements and Z is from the s or p group. They are found to be of immense significance due to certain
characteristics such as shape memory, half-metallic nature and the Magneto-Calorific Effect (MCE). In this paper, I will be discussing the various facets of the aforementioned subjects.
